Upcoming Events

  • Kiddos’ Day

Since 2012, the Environmental Film Festival has been organizing the FFE Kiddie, following the very positive feedback from children and teachers during this edition.

The primary schools of the agglomeration of Poitiers are invited by our Kiddies Pole to attend the broadcasting of animated films, fiction or documentaries selected by our team, on the theme of the environment. Each screening is followed by a break during which a small debate is organised, to find out and understand the children’s opinion of what they have seen.

During this day, children also participate in workshops to raise their awareness of current ecological problems. This year, 117 pupils from 5 different schools will attend activities organized by Espace Mendès France. The children will do 5 different workshops. In the program : a game on sustainable development, a workshop on the life cycle of a seed, a workshop on bees ; a workshop on insects and a presentation of a first year project on energy production and consumption.

  • The Opening Ceremony

For this 15th edition, the Opening Pole of the Environmental Film Festival invites you to attend the free broadcasting of the feature film «  L’océan vu du cœur » by Iolande Cadrin-Rossignol and Marie-Dominique Michaud. This will take place on March 12 at 9 pm at Le Dietrich cinema.

Synopsis :

For a long time, the ocean seemed unalterable and inexhaustible, but the impact of our actions on its biodiversity and temperature is alarming. In L’Océan vu du cœur, the sequel to La Terre vu du cœur, Hubert Reeves, surrounded by scientists and passionate explorers, proposes to rediscover what threatens it and, above all, its phenomenal capacity for regeneration. A hymn to the Living, in what is richest, most precious and necessary to preserve if we want to survive, among other species, on our blue planet.

  • Plogging

Since the 10th edition, our Plogging Pole organizes a walk and a waste pick-up race on the Thursday of the festival.

Plogging was born in 2016 in Sweden from the desire of athletes to link their physical practice to environmental protection. By taking part in plogging, you will have the opportunity to combine physical activity and waste collection.

This year, our volunteers suggest you a « Clean Campus » competition to clean the university campus of Poitiers on Thursday 14 March at 2 pm. Teams will be created at the start of the race. You will have to pick up as much garbage as possible in one hour with gloves and garbage bags : rewards for success ! At the end of the race, light meal will be distributed.

So, go to « ENSI Poitiers » to join us in making a gesture for our planet.
